Author Guidelines
Nastaleeq is an Urdu research journal focused on unpublished research articles related exclusively to Urdu language and literature. Articles must align with the guidelines set by HEC and undergo a peer review process, typically taking 2–3 months. The journal is published bi-annually in January and June, with submission deadlines in September and March, respectively. Authors must ensure that submissions are not sent elsewhere for publication before receiving a decision. Submissions must include both hard and soft copies, accompanied by an English abstract (minimum 100 words) and an affidavit confirming originality. Articles must be formatted in MS Word using Noori Nastaliq font, size 12, with 1-inch margins. References must follow the Roman script format (Author, Book, Publisher, Address, Year, Page). Fancy decorations like word art or symbols are not allowed. Submissions must include the English translation of the title, the author’s name in Roman script, academic status, complete address, and contact number. Changes to author names or affiliations are not allowed after the desk review stage. Articles outside the scope of Urdu language and literature, or creative writings such as Ghazals or Nazms, will not be accepted.
